Choreographer Amber Funk Barton swims to the depths of the marine world in Portraits and Scenes of Female Creatures,
a new piece about loss and grief at sea. The woman behind the hip young
dance company simply known as the response. has crafted the new
full-length piece for dancers Laura Avery, Dianne Doan, Lina Fitzner,
and Lisa Gelley. Composer Marc Stewart and lighting designer Mike Inwood
should help set the murky saltwater mood. The show runs from next
Thursday (December 8) to December 10 at the Firehall Arts Centre.
